DIY Feminine Layered Wallet Chain

Everything 90s/early 00s is totally my jam and this wallet chain is no exception. Is this technically a wallet chain or just a jeans chain? I'm not sure haha! Anyways, I used to have one of whatever it's called similar to this when I was a kid that I got from Limited Too. I felt like a little badass when I wore it and now I feel like a grown up badass when I wear this DIY one!

Materials:

  • Chain(s) Of Choice (I used one basic and one with little gems on it)
  • 2 Lobster Clips
  • 6 Jump Rings
  • Wire Cutters
  • Bent Long Nose Pliers
  • Pair Of Jeans

Step 1:

Start by hooking the lobster clips onto the front and back belt loops of your jeans. Take the chain and drape it from one clip to the other, exactly where you want the first layer to sit. Use the wire cutters to cut the excess chain.

Step 2:

Using the bent long nose pliers attach jump rings on each end of the chain. Take the lobster clips off your belt loops to make it easier to hook the jump rings on. Once you've attached your first layer, hook the lobster clips back on your belt loops. Repeat Steps 1 & 2 until you have three layers!

Tips:

I used jump rings for each layer rather than the layers sharing jump rings to cut down on possible tangling. I also used two slightly larger jump rings for the center layer for the same reason.
